Spring Break Amsterdam 2020

Dear Spring Break friends and family,

It is with immense sadness that we have to announce that Spring Break Amsterdam Festival 2020 will not be going ahead, due to restrictions placed on large events by the Dutch government as part of their strategy to prevent the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus). These restrictions are becoming increasingly stringent and after much discussion with our partners in Amsterdam, the consensus is that they are likely to be extended through April.

We have been working tirelessly for a whole year to deliver you what we hoped would be our best ever edition. We have invested more than we ever have into this year's show and to have it pulled from under our feet so close to the event is absolutely heartbreaking. However, we acknowledge that your health and safety must always be our first concern.
We want to take a moment to thank everybody for their support as always, from our amazing host brands, artists, performers, booking agents and of course you, our Spring Break family.

The recent difficulties facing the events industry due to the Covid-19 outbreak have been well-publicised and it’s a precarious time for the whole industry. We, like many others, have been forced into this position and are incredibly frustrated that we are not allowed to offer our guests the experience they have invested in and which they deserve.
We are pleased to say however, that even though we are not able to recoup the majority of our costs from this year, we can make a complete commitment to all guests that all tickets will remain valid for 2021 or 2022, whichever you choose.
At the moment, there is no FCO (Foreign Office) travel ban to Amsterdam. This means that currently, all travel and accommodation is still valid should you wish to go.

If the FCO ban travel to Amsterdam we will be able to apply for refunds on travel and accommodation from our third party suppliers for those who were still wishing to use it, which will be passed straight on to you.

In Summary:
Festival Tickets & Extras: these can be transferred to 2021 or 2022.
Using Your Travel and Accommodation: This is still valid for this year. Our Spring Break team will still be there to look after you boarding your coaches and checking into hostels as well as offering advice during your stay.

Timeframes And Communications
Within the next few days, we will be emailing a form to all lead bookers. Using this form they can select which options they wish to exercise for the group. We have set out time frames for responses below.
We kindly ask that any and all questions are made via email to info@springbreakamsterdam.co.uk and are sent from lead bookers only. We will be personally responding to thousands of you, each with individual requirements and questions, so it is vital we have a written record of all communications.

Using This Years Travel And Accommodation - 7 Days
Please let us know within 7 working days if you would still like to use this year's travel and accommodation, we will then send the pick up and check in confirmations as per usual.

Moving Your Tickets - 7 Days
Lead bookers must confirm if they would like tickets to be moved to 2021 or 2022 to within 7 days by completing and returning the form.

Once again, we are devastated that we have been prevented from putting on our best event so far and that you have also been negatively affected. We are doing all we can to provide you with the best available options and hope that together, we can pick the party up where we left off next year.

Yours Sincerely,
The Spring Break Team
